“Throughout my journey in medicine, from the start of my training, I realised that my true passion lies in holistic patient care and forming meaningful connections. Whether through caring for individual patients or entire families, I have come to appreciate the privileged position I hold in understanding their lives and dynamics, and how these factors intertwine with their health.

Over the span of more than a decade as a doctor, I have had the privilege of spending time focusing to various areas, from oncology to trauma and orthopaedics, general surgery to paediatrics, with each experience leaving an indelible mark on me. Witnessing the challenges and triumphs of my patients has taught me the fragility and unpredictability of life, inspiring me to approach each day with gratitude, presence, empathy and kindness.

Beyond medicine, I find solace in the depths of the ocean as a certified rescue diver. Art and notably painting have also always been a steadfast companion; excelling in fine arts before entering medical school, I continued to explore the intersection of art and medicine through specialised study modules. As a GP, I am enthusiastic about nurturing this artistic facet alongside my medical practice, as it enriches both my life and the care I provide.”

Dr. Qureshi graduated from Kings College London, University of London in 2012. After her Foundation Medical training at Guys and St Thomas hospital in London, she gained further work experience in plastic surgery at Tygerberg hospital in South Africa.

In 2018, Dr. Qureshi commenced GP training in the Wirral, near Liverpool. She trained under a menopause specialist, realising the profound psychosocial impact of this life stage on women. Embracing lifestyle medicine, she integrated it into patient care, influenced by her BSLM physician GP trainer. After training, she worked in Notting Hill, London, serving a diverse range of patients from all backgrounds and strengthening her proficiency in translator-mediated consultations. Her personal experiences of frequent moves throughout her life ignited her strong interest in mental health, fostering a natural intuition for patients’ psychological well-being. She is a BSLM member, advocating lifestyle interventions for patient care.
